Precedent LLP
Privacy notice.
Effective July 1, 2026. Precedent LLP respects the privacy of clients, prospective clients, and visitors to this site. This notice describes what we collect and how it is used.
Information you provide. If you submit an inquiry through this site, we collect the information you choose to share — your name, contact details, and the general nature of your matter. We use it for one purpose: to run a conflicts check and respond to you. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing, and we never will.
Information collected automatically. This site collects the minimal technical data required to serve its pages — anonymized usage statistics and standard server logs. The firm does not employ advertising trackers, social pixels, or cross-site profiling of any kind.
Confidentiality before engagement. Until a conflicts check clears and an engagement letter is signed, information you send is handled with care but is not protected by the attorney–client privilege. Please omit anything you consider privileged from an initial inquiry.
Retention and access. Inquiry records are retained as required for conflicts purposes and professional-responsibility rules, and no longer. To ask what we hold, or to request deletion where the rules permit it, write to inquiries@precedent.law.
This notice may be revised as the law requires; the effective date above will change when it is. Questions are welcome at the same address.
